Admissions Visiting Days (Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade applicants):
Students applying to Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade spend the morning in a classroom with a group of their peers and one or two teachers doing typical classroom activities. Kindergarten and 1st grade applicants will be assessed on age appropriate academic skills. Parents remain on campus during the visit and have the opportunity to talk with SRV’s Head of School, board members, current and other prospective parents. Admissions Visiting Days for applicants for the 2017-18 school year are schedule for Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 10-11:30am and Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10-11:30am.

Classroom Visits
Applicants who are unable to attend an Admissions Visiting Day will be scheduled for a classroom visit when school is in session.  Preschool and Kindergarten applicants will spend a morning in a preschool classroom, where they will be with children of their own age. First Grade applicants will spend at least one day in the Kindergarten classroom, from 8:15am-3pm.  Applicants for Second through Fourth Grades visit for two consecutive days.

Step 6:  Notification of Acceptance

You will be contacted regarding the outcome of your child’s application within one week of your child’s visit to SRV.  It may be necessary to arrange a second visit or gather additional information about your child before a final decision is made.

Step 7:  Enrollment and Registration

An Enrollment Contract is sent with the letter of acceptance.  Registration materials are provided after the Enrollment Contract is submitted to the school office.

Tuition Assistance

In order to maximize the chance of your child receiving Tuition Assistance, please complete the steps outlined in Applying for Tuition Assistance according to the timeline. Enrollment applications are considered independently of Tuition Assistance applications. Admissions decisions are made regardless of the applicant’s need for Tuition Assistance.

We look forward to working with your family throughout the admission process. Please contact Kim Schmucki, Director of Admission and Tuition Assistance, with questions regarding any aspect of the admission process:  kim@theschoolinrosevalley.org or 610.566.1088.
